United States is Unsustainable
Potentially Part 1 in a series on why this so-called "nation" cannot last.
There were a number of state and local elections that took place this week and the Republican candidates did much worse than expected. The corporate media, which prefers the Democrat party, took a predictable victory lap explaining to all of us that most Americans care more about preserving legal abortion than anything else and so the GOP will continue to underperform, apparently forever.
It seems more likely that the normalization of vote by mail and the ballot harvesting that goes along with it is designed to favor the Democrat Machine and easing their ability to get out the Lazy Vote. Those voters who wouldn’t bother to vote if they had to actually remember to do it and actually go to a polling station tend to vote Democrat. Democrats also tend to live in densely populated areas where it’s easier to harvest their ballots compared to more rural and spread-out towns that vote for the GOP.
Whether the DNC has figured out a fool proof way to mentally manipulate people into single issue voting or whether they’ve rigged the whole "get out the vote” portion of elections may not be the biggest problem with this from the point of view of someone who wants to preserve the current Regime. The post-Trump Republican Party is apparently no longer acceptable to our ruling elites to occasionally hold power at the federal level or even at the state level outside the perpetually red ones.
In the past if you were on the political right your side would win close to half the time. You may have hated Bill Clinton or Barack Obama with a passion, but you knew you weren’t alone, and they were likely to be followed by a Republican president who would scale back some of their leftist excesses. Maybe they never really followed through but there was a perception that they would. Similarly, if you lived in a red area of a blue state, while you may never see a Republican senator or presidential electors, the governorship tended to switch hands fairly regularly and possibly even the legislature.
This may all be coming to an end now that the Democrat Party seems to have fully consolidated power over most aspects of American life. They are fully backed by the Deep State, every major corporation, academia, and of course the legacy media. People that were passionately opposed to the lockdowns and mandates of their Democrat governor during Covid or believe the Biden/Harris administration is actively working to destroy the country will begin to feel completely disenfranchised. They will no longer buy into the illusion that the government that rules over them “represents” them in any way.
This is a dangerous precedent to set. If we’re going down a path of what may essentially be one-party rule when that party is openly despised by roughly 1/3 of the population who see them as oppressors, how does this play out? When there is no meaningful way to peacefully voice your opposition in a way that can actually affect change, what are the dissenters to do?
People will begin to see the DC Regime as illegitimate. They will feel completely alienated from our political class. Whether the Federal government simply allows themselves to lose influence in the local affairs of large swathes of the country or whether they attempt to expand and tighten their grip on power over those that hate them may well decide whether the USA can survive the 21st century as a loose conglomeration of states or whether it completely implodes.
